Tajeddini Likes Rafsanjani but prefers Karrubi

TEHRAN (MNA) – Seyyed Mohammad-Reza Tajeddini, a member of Iranian Parliament, here Sunday said the future president should offer feasible plans for dealing with joblessness and inflation.

The conservative MP added the next president is expected to give a high priority to social justice and standard of living.

Tajeddini, who represents the eastern capital city Tabriz in Majlis, said the president should have a powerful cabinet and move toward scientific and macro plans.

“The plans offered by the presidential candidates are much more important than their own characters. It is very important for people to know about programs the nominees have for making a great change in the society’s executive management and solving their problems,” he noted.

He welcomed the idea of Expediency Council head Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who has encouraged the juniors to stand for president.

However, Tajeddini said if Mehdi Karrubi, former Majlis speaker, offers his candidacy, the election will become more appealing.
