IRIB PERSIAN NEWS PAGE: "Tehran, April 28 - Tehran Mayor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that according to a decision taken by the city council, the municipality will install a plaque in memory of the victims of Iraqi chemical warfare.

He said that the city council made the decision to support the rights of victims of chemical warfare and the bereaved families.

"Major crimes have been perpetrated against Iranian nation, the youth and the war veterans affected by chemical warfare syndrome. We should support the rights of the victims by installing the plaque of remembrance," Ahmadinejad said.

"The big powers possess technology to produce chemical weapons and they used the deadly weapons against Iranian soldiers during Iraqi-imposed war (1980-1988)."
