Tehran, Dec 18, IRNA -- The World Oil Trade Center is to be established on Kish Island in Persian Gulf, the English-language daily 'Tehran Times' quoted a press release of the Kish Free Trade Zone Organization on Saturday.
The daily also quoted the managing director of the support and procurement Kala Naft Company as saying that establishment of the center will draw more industrialists and oil sector service entrepreneurs to Kish Free Trade Zone (KFTZ).

Mohammad Taqi Amanpur, moreover, said that 2-5,000-square-meter sites have been prepared and may now be purchased or leased for use as repair and production shops as well as warehouses designed to provide parts and services.

High-rise apartment blocks have been constructed for use by banks, insurance companies and stock exchange centers, he said.

Referring to the great interest expressed by oil companies to operate in the KFTZ, Amanpur added that over the past 30 years several oil companies have registered in the island and are now providing services such as drilling, helicopter and parts' warehousing."
