Iran Daily; Ahmadi-Nejad is ready if needed

Iran Daily: "Mayor Talks About Revolutionary Management

Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad

TEHRAN, March 9--Tehran Mayor Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad said deviating from revolutionary management principles is the root cause of all problems facing the country.
According to IRNA, Ahmadi-Nejad told a number of Sharif University students late on Tuesday that those who ignore the lofty aspirations of the revolution for the sake of personal interests and adopt conservative measures are not observing the principles of revolutionary management.
Ahmadi-Nejad further said that if he realizes that his presence in the upcoming presidential election is needed, he would not hesitate to enter the scene. He added that he considers it his responsibility to serve the country in whatever way he can.
He also said never before has a mayor faced so many obstructions from executive bodies.
Rejecting reports that the municipal body is interfering in the affairs of other organizations, Ahmadi-Nejad said, “Some of our actions have been interpreted as interference, though all we have been trying to do is to push executive managers to further heed the basic needs of the society.“"
