Candidates should tell the truth: Karrubi: "Candidates should tell the truth: Karrubi

TEHRAN, April 18 (MNA) – Former Majlis speaker Mahdi Karrubi stressed the need for people’s massive turnout in the upcoming presidential election.
Speaking in Ilam province on Monday, Karrubi said that election campaigns should be measured and wise, adding that candidates should tell the truth in order to avoid an unreasonable rise of expectations among the people.

The reformist candidate severely criticized those who try to reduce public participation in the polls and called on the country’s officials to remain vigilant in this regard.

He noted that presidential candidates should avoid ruining each other’s fame since this would change people’s outlook on the entire political system."
